The Glow Of Centuries-Old Gion

Paper lanterns.

There is  something poetic about the way flames glow from within.

How the soft beams of light splash golden hues on the cobblestone streets

where wooden sandals continue its click-clacking music,

Through the wooden windows

where eyes have watched

as the songs of cicadas echo in the dark.
