This is what my living room looked like at 2 a.m. (Yes, what am I doing awake at 2am? Taking photos, apparently.)
There was a real bright, and large moon splashing light through our windows, so strong the house was actually quite bright even with all the lamps shut off.
Oh, and the view outside? Though we don’t get stars due to light pollution (there’s such a thing, I found out!), we get shimmery seas and a nice golden glow from the anchored ships outside our window as well as all that wattage from the city in the distance.
So grateful that nature still gives us reasons for awe and wonder even in the prime of a highly technological existence.

I read a quote the other day: “moonlight is sculpture.” What a beautiful picture you’ve taken!

Thank you! The moon was hauntingly large and after shutting the lights off, it was still very bright. My husband thought I tinkered with the image on Photoshop because the view outside the window is so bright. Amazing what the camera picks up on its own
Glad someone else is moved to take a photographs a 2am having been known to do that too, love your blog the scallops were great, afraid lobster is beyond us, if we can get them miles too expensive. Going to see the bear forest people in Brighton today. Take care Mr Moonbeam Ann
Oh you’re so lucky you get to meet them! I would love to see their work in person (and meet the Forest folks too)
Singapore is, I must say, rather abundant in crabs of all sizes, crayfish and lobsters so it’s accessible in a lot of dishes here. Some high-end groceries even sell them live. Have a fun week ahead!
