Came from the art shop yesterday and made a decision to embark on a new form of drawing: lino cuts. I did this once in high school and swore never to do it again. But yesterday, I found a soft linoleum that held so much promise.
Now I have to think in black and white… and in reverse!

Ah. You don’t have to think in black and white. Ink comes in many colors that can be blended to create even more. Play. Have fun.

I look forward to seeing the prints you produce. I bought some lino earlier in the year to make a birthday card, I forgot to think in reverse, really pleased with the print except the letters were backwards. The second attempt was more successful.
I’ll post the only one I’ve made so far in a few mins…
I caught myself early enough into the writing and calligraphy. So I erased it and just stuck to design as I was already getting a headache thinking where and what to cut :p It’s amazing how some people can do really intricate art with this!
Wait… how big was your lino to make a birthday card? I’m still working with large pieces (A4) until I get my dexterity in place
The lino I made was smaller (A5), a larger size sounds like a good idea.
