Knead Love #8: Bread Postcards From Madrid

One of life’s biggest ironies is how I, the fussy traveler, can have friends who live, breathe, dream and speak all things travel — from the arid deserts of the Middle East to cruising the icy waters of Antartica — all with nothing but a backpack and their passport.

Meet Jaymee — an effervescent woman with an immeasurable dose of wanderlust coursing through her veins.  I love how we have stayed in touch all these years, even after I’ve left the agency as she started as a signature teen model for a major clothing brand back in Manila.

“Tapas and sangria ain’t complete without a basket of some crunchy ‘pan’.” —Jaymee :)

The past couple of years has been one breakthrough after another for this inspiring character.  I remember that one lunch (one LOOOONG lunch) we had in a Spanish restaurant no less! That conversation is to be the beginning of Jaymee’s fascinating journey into finding her place in the sun — and she has now found it teaching English in Madrid.

“My favorite panaderia in Madrid. I die and go to bread heaven everytime I visit!” — Jaymee :)

I shall be posting a few more of her bread adventures in different parts of the world.  Thanks for supporting this blog’s Knead Love Project, Jayms!!! :) These photos are beautiful — sigh…
