Di Legno Gallery, together with the Philippine Embassy of Singapore’s Art Trek event, brought together 11 Filipino artists to pay tribute to the tales of their childhood and re-imagine the magic and wonder of Philippine folklore.
Opening to a sold-out show, a fresh body of work was unveiled at Di Legno Gallery which celebrates the Peranakan culture, the story each woman holds and blooming wherever life takes her.
Through ZoeJo Studio, designs were presented at a global marketplace for licensing art and surface design for industries such as fabric and textile, home decor and furnishing, apparel, and stationery.
As a very diverse artist’s collective, it appears we are quite the colourful and lively bunch representing a myriad of cultures from the UK, Australia, India, Singapore, the Philippines and Colombia. The exhibit takes place in the breathtaking black-and-white bungalow and residence of art collector Ondina Montgomery, our host and curator of the show.
With the support of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, I had the privilege of exhibiting alongside Find Good Art’s group of Filipino artists in Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore.
