The Overthinkers are these women with busy minds and my body of work that tells the story of the intersection of art, psychology, and culture.

In one podcast, I was asked if I was threatened by AI. I said I welcome it simply because it’s here to stay, and because it challenges me to get out of my comfort zone.

For my first art fair at MoCAF 2026 here in the Philippines, I decided to keep my 12inch artworks in a crude state: textures were not smoothened, lines were not fixed, and I kept many of the edges in its rough form. The dreaded hands? I didn’t even bother fixing the proportions. The layers underneath show how many times I changed my mind, and one painting shows a splatter which was the result of my canvas falling from the easel. I didn’t fix that either.

I want my pieces to show that they were made by a flawed human being.

As an artist working in the era of AI, I simply choose my own humanity.
